Mentoring and peer support: Pairing children with peer mentors who provide guidance, support, and positive role modeling.
Counseling and therapy: Offering individual and group therapeutic services to help children process emotions related to parental incarceration and develop coping skills.
Recreation and enrichment activities: Offering sports, arts, and cultural activities to promote socialization, skill-building, and healthy development.
Family and reunification support: Provide case management services and care coordination with linkages to referrals and resources in the community for relational repair between children and incarcerated parents during post-release.
Character Development Program: Encouraging children to participate in community service projects that build a sense of belonging and responsibility while developing empathy and social awareness.
